Penticton firefighters rescue deer from Okanagan Lake – Okanagan

Firefighters in Penticton rescued a deer from the icy waters of Okanagan Lake on Thursday morning.

The rescue occurred at Marina Means Seashore, with the deer round 50 metres off-shore, caught on skinny ice.

The deer was introduced safely again to land, and ultimately ran off.

“Our firefighters are skilled in a number of disciplines, and need to remind the general public that ice ranges will not be secure proper now,” mentioned the Penticton Skilled Fireplace Fighters

“Please remind children to remain off the ice, and preserve pets on a leash close to the water.”
