Everyone missed the ‘eye-watering irony’ content of Gillard’s speech

Commentator Liz Storer says the content material of former prime minister Julia Gillard’s speech in parliament on sexism was the “eye-watering irony” everybody appears to have missed.

“The truth that the prime minister was really rising to her ft to lecture Tony Abbott on sexism whereas defending the indefensible, excusing the inexcusable in what was the degrading sexual texts of 1 Peter Slipper,” Ms Storer advised Sky Information host Andrew Bolt.

“That is the context that everybody appears to be lacking.”
